Like people, trees are varied and no two are exactly alike.  They transform and adapt to their surroundings: clothing themselves in a beautiful, changing tapestry of leaves until winter comes and they reveal the beautiful structure and shape of their strength.

This class focuses on the shape and tapestry of trees.  We will discuss how to find the shapes in tree structure and how to use fabric to create the different textures of leaves and bark. You will design a painting using trees as the subject matter and fabric as your medium.  You will cut, shape and twist fabric to create your design and have a complete work of art by the end of the class.

No experience in art is needed to learn this easy, creative form of art.

Class is limited to 10, so please register early.

Materials for class will be supplied, EXCEPT SCISSORS.  Please bring fabric scissors or a rotary cutter.

You are also welcome to bring photographs of trees to use as inspiration, although this is not required.
