Great River Arts

** COVID-19 UPDATE **

Great River Arts (GRA) is committed to the health and well-being of our members, visitors, artists, and staff. In an effort to ensure the best practices in social distancing are met in regards to COVID-19, GRA’s board has made the decision to extend our closure of retail and onsite galleries through June 2, 2020. ALL onsite events; including adult and youth classes, art gallery receptions, and performances scheduled in this time frame will be postponed.

Additional updates regarding GRA programming will be made after June 2nd, with the same care and concern for the safety of our community. To stay connected to future notifications, check back online at, link to GRA on Facebook  or call our office at 320-632-0960.
Please note that during this time, GRA will be operating with limited staff – we will return your call as soon as possible.

Looking Forward

We look forward to welcoming you back to our galleries and public spaces in the coming months. If you had registered for a previous class or performance, staff will be working with the artists to reschedule their session for a later date. At that time, GRA will honor students and ticket holders purchases. We ultimately hope to see you return to GRA for the event. However, should the future date not work, a refund or donation to GRA to support our continued presence in the community will also be an option. Staff will send an email or call registrants when we know more.

Impacting GRA

As we work through changing times, our goal is to continue to seek ways in which GRA meaningfully serves the community – defined as artists, patrons and creative learners like yourself. Especially this month, keep GRA at the heart of the community by becoming a member  or consider making a donation in support of the arts.

Where Creativity Meets Community

Established in 1992 by Little Falls arts leaders, Great River Arts is a nonprofit agency. Serving the greater Morrison County area, we offer a variety of artistic experiences, from live theater and music performances to revolving visual art exhibits, as well as art classes for youth and adults. Our mission is to enrich lives through the arts and become the art hub for the Morrison County area, playing a significant role in sustaining the community's artistic and economic vibrancy.
Come visit us in the future!
All GRA galleries are free and open to the public! The Great River Arts center is home to the Front & Main Galleries, our new performing arts space, all arts education and workshops, special events, and the ever-evolving Juried Sales Gallery. We also have two satellite galleries located at the Morrison County Government Center and St. Gabriel's Hospital.

Between 1776-1887 the U.S. seized over 1.5 billion acres from Indigenous people. Accordingly, GRA acknowledges that our facility is located in the ancestral and un-ceded territory of the Anishinabewaki people.
GRA is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer. We do not discriminate based upon race, religion, color, national origin, gender (including pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions), sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, age, status as a protected veteran, status as an individual with a disability, or other applicable legally protected characteristics. This policy extends beyond employees, to our board, memberships, passionate volunteers, as well as the talented artists we engage throughout our programming.
