GRA Theater: Nunsense

Great River Arts is excited to announce auditions for their upcoming musical, Nunsense!
The show is a hilarious spoof about the misadventures of five nuns trying to manage a fundraiser. Sadly, the rest of the sisterhood died from botulism after eating soup prepared by Sister Julia Child of God. Thus, the remaining nuns – ballet-loving Sister Leo, street-wise Sister Robert Anne, befuddled Sister Mary Amnesia, the Mother Superior Sister Regina, and mistress of the novices Sister Mary Hubert – stage a talent show in order to raise the money to bury their dearly departed. With catchy songs and wholesome comedy, Nunsense is sure to keep audiences rolling with laughter.

Auditions for Nunsense will be held on January 12 and 13 from 6 – 8 p.m. at Great River Arts. There are parts for 5 women, all are singing/solo roles. Please come to one audition with a song prepared that shows your voice range. You will only need to sing 16
measures of the song. You will also be asked to read from the script.

Please bring a list of conflicts for February through April. Rehearsals will be held Sunday, Monday and Wednesday evenings, time to be determined once the cast is picked. Performance dates are April 17, 18, 19, 24 and 25. Great River Arts is located at 122 First Street SE in Little Falls.

Nunsense will be directed by Robyn Gray and Vicki Spofford.
