GRTV Station Manager

 STATION MANAGER

Public Access Television Station, Little Falls, Minnesota
Great River Arts seeks applicants for the position of station manager for a public access
and government television station.
We seek a qualified person, preferably with experience and training, to assume the
position of station manager.
Salary to be determined.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Assume all management duties for Great River Television, under the supervision of the
Great River Arts Executive Director.
Coordinate programming to be cablecast on Great River Television, including recording
and cablecasting local city council and county board meetings; cablecasting
programming created by community members; and creating new community
programming.
Facilitate the cablecast of community created programming.
Direct training of community members who wish to use GRTV equipment to create
programming.
Manage and coordinate access by the community to Great River Television public
access channel, ensuring compliance by users with GRTV policies and guidelines.
Produce original GRTV programming, including live musical and theatrical events,
documentaries, and community focused programs.
Ensure compliance with FCC rules and regulations, state and federal laws, and any
other relevant laws and regulations.

DUTIES MAY INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO

Daily programming of channel via Tightrope Media System
Participate in GRA Activities, Events & Fundraisers
Record Events
Assist with Teaching of Media Arts Classes
TECHNICAL

Maintain equipment and recording studio
Trouble shoot & solve computer issues
Network equipment
Ensure the broadcast of quality audio levels
Answer on-call concerns with station as needed

PROGRAMMING

Help solve formatting issues and other issues related to TV to help the public with their
recordings.
Convert unsupported formats of video and analog to viewable formatting for the station.
Change/Edit Charter Generator to stay up-to-date.
Maintain show catalogue and programming schedule.
Manage YouTube Channel.
Maintain Archives/provide copies of shows as required.
Air Public's Programming.
Aid renters with use of equipment or studio space.
Aid the public with recording programming for GRTV.
Collaborate with Churches to ensure we have quality airing of desired programs.

PRODUCTION

Produce videos for air on GRTV.
Record County and City Meetings.
Aid with GRA technical issues.
Work with City employees and officials on the advancement of franchise agreement.
Consult with GRA Executive Director and Report GRTV needs and successes.
Provide Guidance on GRTV direction.

Great River Arts in Little Falls, MN, is seeking applications for a station manager at their public access TV station, Great River Television.

Application deadline is Friday, March 17, 2023.

Interviews will be conducted now through March 31.

Training will begin April 10 for the finalist.

The full-time position will begin May, 1, 2023.

This is a salaried position.
