Fun and Quick Abstract Mixed Media Watercolor

Learn basic watercolor while applying collage materials to create an abstract watercolor painting. No painting skills required but just the ability to have a very open mind. Supplies provided by GRA and the instructor. This class is open to ages 16+ with a class size limit of 15.

Join us on Friday, September 25th from 5:15-6:30pm at Linden Hill for art journaling. Be inspired by a historic and natural landscape. Supplies provided. Proceeds from this class will be split between GRA and Linden Hill. Class size limit 20. Ages 16+. Pre-registration required. GRA member $15/Non-member $20.

Music & Meditation
What's a sound bath?? A sound bath is a meditative experience where those in attendance are “bathed” in sound waves. Sound waves at different frequencies are used to realign the cells in your body to their natural and optimal vibrational state.
What do I bring? To prepare, bring everything you need to stay warm and comfy - yoga mat, blankets, pillows. If you prefer to sit, you are welcome to do so. Typically, to fully enjoy a sound bath, one will close their eyes, absorbing the experience auditorily and physically.

Pay class by class orrrrr save BIG when you buy a 10 Class Punch Card or 5 Class Punch Card - (includes all tools, glazes, and firings as well as 10 or 5 lbs of clay. Additional clay costs $1 per lb) Your punch card will be kept at the front desk, making each class check-in as simple as a wave, a smile, and a *click*.

GRA now offer's a monthly Paint Your Own Pottery class - the first Saturday of the month. Down in the studio we have a variety of ceramics ready to be painted. Reserve your spot for $15, includes glazes and firing (10 spots available per month). At the class you choose a piece of pottery out of a variety of pre-made pieces.
Class Dates: August (@ 12pm) through December 2025 @ 10:30am (*No class September)
*This class also doubles as an option to glaze pieces created in -Throwing 101- ie. If you sign up for Throwing 101 in January, and make some pieces you want to keep/glaze, sign up for this class the following month (February in this case)

Are you interested in learning how to throw pottery on the wheel?? Or are you looking for some hands on learning/refining of your skills with some extra help from Frances? Well look no further! We have got you covered at Great River Arts in Little Falls!
Throwing 101 is offered monthly, on the first Friday and Saturday of the month (starting at 3:30pm on Friday and 11am on Saturday) In each class we will go over some of the basics of clay, the 4 main steps of throwing, as well as tips and tricks along the way.
There is no "trimming" portion of the class. The goal of Throwing 101 is to learn through the practice of doing. Each participant will be given three 1# balls of clay. If you choose to keep any pieces, you're welcome to glaze/fire pieces via a day pass or as a part of our monthly Pottery Painting ($5 per piece to cover glazes and firing).
There is a class limit of 6 people - pre registration is required. Ages 8 and up are welcome to join.

Wanting more time in the studio? You may purchase a daily studio pass or save when buying 5 or 10 on a punch pass!
