Clay Pottery Class

Join us for one or both of our starter sessions: an exploration in introductory pottery techniques with GRA's Ceramicist Specialist, Renee Zeleny!! Participants will be taught basic hand-building in order to make several small plates. All materials are provided except for creativity and enthusiasm; bring your own, along with an apron or clothes that don't mind a little mess.

Basic Calligraphy With Anita Hendrix

Saturday, March 14 from 1:00 - 3:00 pm

$35 Non-Member/$30 Member

Pre-Registration is REQUIRED

Learn the foundational script, Roman, using traditional calligraphy practices including decorative flourishes. Students will be able to use traditional pen and ink but as well as a black 3 mm calligraphy marker, 1/4" grid paper, pencil and ruler. These materials will be available for use during the class; the marker may be purchased to keep if so desired. Handouts will be provided.

Jewelry Making With Debby Hess

Learn the art of jewelry making with this fun key and pendant necklace! Pendant is customizable with word(s) of your choice (to be confirmed in advance with instructor).  No experience necessary, but be sure to bring your reading glasses! Also, GRA's cash bar will be open for this event. Materials included.

Acting Workshop With Beth Selinger

Saturday, March 28 from 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

Pre-Registration is REQUIRED

How to Develop and Create Your Character for Theatrical Productions - this workshop will focus on basic techniques in developing and presenting a character for future use in stage productions. We will work on: Creating your character from various stimuli, understanding what motivates the character you want to portray, learning to communicate your character through movement and gesture, and portraying your character by presenting a monologue to the group. No need to prepare/memorize anything prior to class, but please dress comfortably to be active on stage. Ages 18+, please bring a notebook and pen/pencil along with a sac lunch.
