TO PARTICIPATE 

GRA is seeking creative pieces from Minnesota artists created in 2023-2025.

Each artist will be allowed to enter 1-3 pieces of artwork. Cost: $25 for the first piece and $10 for each additional art piece ($45 max.). 

Members get $5 off of first submission.

Printed copies for art submission(s) are available upon request.

Celebrate the music of Elton John with the band 22nd Row at GRA!  The 22nd Row is a colorful 7-piece band of seasoned musicians who faithfully re-create the timeless
music of Elton John. With piano, synthesizers, electric & acoustic guitars, bass guitar, drums, percussion, mandolin and four vocalists, the band performs the chart-toppers that made Elton a superstar, along with his prime classic album cuts, creating a well-rounded, exciting concert experience for die-hard and casual fans alike. A few numbers by the ‘other’ 70’s Piano Man, Billy Joel, find their way into the mix as well. "You're gonna hear electric music, solid walls of sound... '

Drew Peterson is an independent Americana singer-songwriter who has captivated fans across the Midwest for over 20 years. Since fronting the Minnesota-based group Forty Watt Bulb, Peterson has spawned two other successful Roots projects; the twangy, upbeat Dead Pigeons and bluegrass-influenced Boxstore Bird.

Peterson comes from a long line of musically inept Norwegian Farmers (unless you count Grandpa Pops, the town drunk, who played the harmonica and the concertina for booze).Peterson was not born with musical talent. Mom bought him a guitar at a church rummage sale for five dollars and it was then he decided he wanted to become a musician. Growing up on a farm in rural Minnesota, he tackled this endeavor the way he had been taught - hard work and lots of practice. And practice is what he’s been doing for 20 years. His passion has always been crafting lyrics and songwriting. 

Peterson has built a unique brand that transcends the genre. With clever, dry humor and thought- provoking lyrics, Peterson’s music is like oil over gravel. Drawing on influences from John Prine, Tom Waits, Cat Stevens, Van Morrison, among others, Peterson offers the world upbeat tunes with a soft- spoken gravitas that belies his years. 

With a performance style that can transform from intimate listening room to rowdy festivals and bars, Peterson always gives his heart and soul to the stage. And with each new performance, he works to connect with the audience through storytelling.

The fact that Michael Shynes is a Midwest born singer songwriter with a Platinum Record in Poland, in many ways, sums up the unlikelihood of his career perfectly. Being a self taught musician from a small town, he seemed to build a career out of nothing more than pure hustle and soulful songwriting. And he was also a son who had lost his father, quit his day job, and chased an unlikely dream. And even though the music itself may be difficult to define (often oscillating from Folk to Pop to R&B to Country and then back again), the intent behind it is the unifying ingredient. The unmistakable truth that it never strives to be anything less than genuine and authentic.

Ring of Kerry is a bursting-with-energy Irish music group that captures the hearts of listeners. The group takes its name from a beautiful craggy drive in southwestern County Kerry, Ireland. Its Celtic music, however, is played with a heart much closer to its American home.

Ring of Kerry is a musical group based in Minnesota, playing Irish music on a variety of Celtic instruments including whistles, flutes, guitar, hammered dulcimer, fiddle, cello, bouzouki, and bodhran.  Other instruments played: djembe, doumbek, tamburi, shekere, spoons, and harmonica.
